It’s easy to enroll, and we’ll help you every step of the way. 

  • New Student Orientation:
    • Orientation for daytime GED classes, computer training, and job placement services
      • Monday mornings 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 Noon, no appointment necessary
      • Nashville OIC, 1819 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203
    • Orientation for evening GED classes at Park Avenue Community Career Center
      • Monday evenings 6:00- 8:00 p.m., no appointment necessary
      • Park Avenue Elementary School Community Career Center, 3703 Park Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209, entrance in back of school off Elkins Avenue
    • Bring a photo ID to New Student Orientation. We’ll help you determine what classes are the best fit for you, and you’re ready to begin!  No waiting list. Everyone is accepted into OIC’s programs. Give us a call with any questions at (615) 248-2906.
  • Programs: GED test preparation, Computer training, and Job Placement. Free tutoring is available for students preparing to take the GED test.
  • Evaluations: Move at your own pace, and measure your progress at least once a month, or in Computer Training, more frequently.
  • Job placement: Our employment career specialist works closely with you to find a job that suits you. We can help you look for a job while participating in other OIC programs. Attendance at a Monday morning assessment is required to participate in Job Placement.
  • GED testing: Nashville OIC pays the GED test fee after you pass the GED practice exam.  GED testing is free for students.
  • Flexible class schedule: In addition to morning GED preparation and computer training, OIC offers evening GED Preparation classes for those who cannot come during the day.
  • Transportation: We are centrally located with convenient access to bus lines. Ample parking is available and bus passes are provided for actively enrolled students.
