For 50 years, Nashville OIC has provided job training and placement to improve the lives of its students. Generous donors make the OIC experience possible and free to students. All costs of education, training and job placement services are covered, including HISET practice tests and the state HISET examination. There is never a waiting list to enroll in classes.
OIC attacks the root causes of poverty, not just the symptoms, by helping students build their qualifications and get jobs.
Volunteers make an extraordinary impact on Nashville OIC’s students and their families. For volunteer opportunities, please visit our Volunteer page.
Donations from corporations, foundations, faith-based communities and individuals allow Nashville OIC’s programs to effectively serve a growing number of students and improve lives.
OIC delivers measurable outcomes. For every $1 donated, $9 is returned to the community, which is a significant Return on Investment. Visit our Programs page to learn more about OIC’s services and About Us to learn about OIC’s Mission, History and Leadership.

Nashville OIC appreciates in-kind donations from individuals and corporations to provide supplies for students and teachers. While we accept donations of all types, we are most in need of items on our Wish List.
- Nashville OIC is in need of new computers and updated software. It is important that we provide state of the art training for our participates who are entering into the job market. The computers in our labs are six (6) years old. Please contact Helena Farrow if you are interested in donating. All contributions to Nashville OIC are tax-deductible.
